Accessibility questions • hello@laksana.ai
Laksana is committed to making its platform — the admin console, and the public-facing facility booking portals it powers for tenant organisations — usable by as many people as possible, including people using assistive technology such as screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, and voice control.
1. Target standard
Laksana targets conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA across its public-facing surfaces, including the Bookings public portal (facility catalogue, availability calendar, booking wizard, and booking status pages). This is an ongoing engineering target that we actively work toward — it is not a claim of full, certified conformance, and this statement is updated as our work continues.
2. What is already implemented
As of this update, the Bookings public portal implements: every booking status shown with both a glyph and a text label, never colour alone; a 44px minimum touch target on every clickable control; aria-live regions that announce important state changes (such as the number of slots selected) to screen readers; an availability calendar built with role="grid" and full arrow-key navigation; step headings in the booking form that are announced to assistive technology as the applicant advances; automatic reduction of motion for visitors whose devices request prefers-reduced-motion; and WCAG AA contrast checking enforced at the point a tenant configures its brand colour, not discovered after the fact.
3. How we test
We run automated accessibility scans (axe-core) against the portal's public screens as part of our pre-deploy checks, and we periodically conduct manual keyboard-only navigation passes. Automated tooling catches roughly a third of real-world accessibility issues, so we treat it as a floor, not a ceiling — manual testing, including by people who use assistive technology day to day, is part of our ongoing process.
4. Known gaps
We aim to be transparent about where we still have work to do. As of this update: automated testing coverage does not yet extend to every public screen in every tenant configuration, and a full assessment by assistive-technology users (rather than engineering staff conducting a keyboard-only pass) is still in progress. We do not consider any surface of the platform to be fully, permanently conformant — accessibility is a continuous process, not a one-time certification.
5. Feedback and contact
If you encounter an accessibility barrier anywhere on the Laksana platform or on a Bookings portal powered by Laksana, we want to know. Please contact us at hello@laksana.ai with the page or feature involved and, if possible, the assistive technology you were using — we will investigate and respond.
